I saw it at the bike show, sat on it for a while...
I think that the front end and exhausts are god awful, the front is more hideous than the S1000R (not RR). The tail end of the bike is gorgeous. It looks cramped but it is one of the most comfortable nakeds I've sat on, far better than the S1000R.
I kinda liked it. The front end looking like it hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down doesn't bother as I wouldn't see it while riding.
I'll echo the above sentiment, can't get over how ugly it looks, but I'm sure the aftermarket will fix that. The bike however fit me perfectly, a really odd sensation just sitting on it, it felt so natural almost as if it were designed for me. I think I'll have to ride one, but too scared I might actually buy that ugly thing which will just encourage Kawasaki to keep building ugly bikes.

Hey, with an 1125R you've already succumbed to ugly
The Z1000 is very much "Transformer" inspired. I could live with everything but the mufflers.

The front "nose" needs to be 4" higher, way too low, looks awful IMO.
Girl needs a lift yo.
That picture above, of the nose, is pure smoke and mirrors, that's the only
angle it looks good, and no human will ever view it like that.....Kawi games
I think it's quite sexy with the exception of the mirrors. I sat on it as well and it felt so right. That bike and the fz-09 are top of my future wants. The fz's rear could use improvement, and the front of the Z is a little off.. But I like it for how different it is.
The squished front is a bit too edgy for me.
I'm probably the only one, besides the dudes who designed it, who think the front look smashing !!
Agree with mechanic, looks very transformer like which
Is good cos I like them transformers.
I actually really like it, and it was a bike it was one of the bikes i was considering at the show. I thought it was really comfortable, and it fit me really well. However, two things i did not like, the fact that my feet were always hitting the exhaust, and the fact that the pegs flex a lot (so much so that I thought they were defective)
The bike hit many branches falling out of the ugly tree.
