    http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/sh...threadid=15651

i never owned a bike before, so i don't know is this bike good enough for me. i am looking a decent sports bike that is not too expensive because i am planning to get a car soon.

what do you guys think about this bike? like the body image?

This was the bike i wanted to get as my first bike.
I wanted a 91 because of the single headlight.
This is a very rare year for the fzr. This is the first one i've seen for sale in the last 5 years vancouver.

Looks good, thought about it for my girlfriend myself. Just make sure you get a 90+ model of this bike as the 89 model had single piston front brakes.

I have a '90 and I am happy with it. Definately want the dual headlights though. Much more options for brightness *cough* more power!! But if they made the dual headlight with the sleek nose it would have looked much nicer.

???? what do you mean? The bodywork? It's dated but has alot of character IMO. I too, am partial to the twin headlights of the early 90's, however, the price seems reasonable. Low mileage and at least it looks clean in the pic. It would sell in one thursday with a pic in the buy and sell. I like it...and I hate everything.

Everything about that bike looks toight for what it is....but i've got to say my first mod on that thing would be to get rid of those "mickey mouse ear" mirrors. (probably put on the srad gixxer square type mirrors, myself)

those mirrors only allow you to see your elbows
emgo makes a bigger square mirror you can buy and put on there

I got a nice big set of mirrors from Honda Center off a CBR sometingorother. Emgo makes the same ones but damn are they expensive! You could find some R1 mirrors and modify them to fit. That's what I had to do with the CBR mirrors and I am happy with them. Shit loads of vis.

Those are a great first bike. I used to own one when I first started riding. My buddy owns one and loves it. The price is good and it looks clean. Get it checked and if all is good then I say go for it you will love it.

sold - borrowing my wife's CBR
Sweeet! It looks great in the picture, and l like the colour too. (Do I sound biased? - see avatar) That's pretty low mileage for that year, and the price sounds good too. That same bike would probably be $5500.00 at Carter Honda.

Get a compression check done on the engine first.

Also, if that's your first bike, and the farings are mint, it might be worth your while investing in frame sliders.
