My bike is having problems starting up. It does start after some internal effort. I have it on a ctek charger, stored indoors, on it over the winter, and charger reports battery being fully charged. It has lots of Seafoam in the gas tank over the winter. It cranks and cranks, so I think I can safely say it is not the battery. Still original battery from 0-87kms, from 2010-now.
Here is how I can best describe it; it cranks, and cranks, and about the fourth or 5th crank, it starts. It isn't a continuous crank but with the crank dying/weak at about the 3rd crank, but the fourth or 5th crank very weak but somehow it starts. Sometimes it doesn't start, and the internal computer (I think) stops the cranking. Then I would turn the key to off, then on again, to reset it, then try again. It doesn't fire up at the first crank like it used to.
Went out for a ride today hoping to burn off at least 1/2 a tank but the starting issue made me stop. It is now at the dealer, I didn't do more than 6k last year. Just curious, what could it be (capcacitor, fuel injector, stator, ???, WTF). Any ideas?
