Accidents happen all the time, but I think 2 times of the year we are often more susceptible.
1 - Early in the season when we don't have our "bike legs" in the best form.
2 - Later in the season, when we are supposedly at the top our our annual
game, and take the extra risk.
Make a conscience effort to take your time, warm up, stretch, get your head in the game and remember that if you want to enjoy a terrific season ahead of us, and many more to come, practice the rules of moderation.
We all take chances, and perhaps many unnecessary risks. Luck and skill play vital roles in the outcomes, so the one variable you can help impact is timing....it's early in the season, chill for a bit.
Early in the season other drivers dont expect to see bikes on the road quite that early and therefore odds are even greater to be whaled by one (not that odds are better in the middle of the riding season, but thats a different story)
Gear! It saves lives, no question about it. Just do it.
Before you head out for the first time go over your bike. Tire pressure, oil, brake fluid, coolant, lights, etc. Take 10 - 15 min and make sure things are the way they are supposed to be and if you don't know ask someone. These things can cause accidents just as easily as the things mentioned by the OP.
now how does it work if he doesn't insure a vehicle in his name for the next 7 years? will this charge just disappear? aren't all tickets/premiums etc gone after 7 years?
FF was complaining about not impounding his car earlier. Had they done that he wouldnt have had a chance to rack up 20+ tickets.
