Time for some changes to the 78 Harris-Kawasaki.
I never did like the convention of placing an oil cooler right in front of the hottest part of the engine; the cylinder head. So I moved the cooler up in front of the tacho into a fairing.
I bought a used RC51 upper fairing from Supersport and repaired/modified it.
I made a subframe from steel tube and fitted a curved oil cooler into the RH headlight opening and fresh air intake. The LH headlight remained. I found out that RC51's have only a low beam in the LH light...so I was able to cut down a H4 bulb with hi/low to fit the socket.
Add a bit of satin black paint for the stealth effect. To keep everything up front all black I found some black hose ends at Mopac.
I might go all the way with the flat black and add some Kawi green pinstripes....hmmm.
