It would be interesting to see what our relative smelting capacity is to produce fuel for widespread use. I like the safe portability of this kind of system but I really can't help but think of Ballard after watching that.
im seeing this and thinking to myself... zero co2? sustainability? extraction and refinement of bauxite into aluminium requires a lot of energy input. bauxite mining doesnt look any cleaner than oil sand mining. it is just somewhere else.

Interesting. It's almost reverse manufacturing. It mentioned that they are making electricity from energy stored in the aluminum, which the cost of making is about one-third electricity.
How long does the charge last in the aluminum ?
