so if a tank has previously been sealed but you notice the sealer has started to peel off in spots what would you recommend? just seal it again? what's the best way to strip the old sealer off?
acid will strip the old seal. Most kits use muriatic or hydrochloric acid, but you can buy that shit by the gallon MUCH cheaper at Rona. It's found in their pool supply section. I usually start with an industrial soap/degreaser that will remove most residue from the tank. Then acid for 2 hours, pour out, and rinse well. Then dry for 1 day under fan, and line it again.

+1 for Caswell. It's the best.

What ever you do you'll need to get the old liner out first. If you try to line a tank over a failed product it will fail again. Trust me. ;-)
I have half a Caswell treatment left for anyone that wants it. There's enough to line one tank.
