Yes this posting is real.
I'm giving away a free Go Pro Hero 3+ Black with all the accessories... and a Spot GPS (New Gen 3).
All you need to do is find them... and give me back the footage.
Sooooo... I the other day I sent them up on a helium balloon (as one does) and my gps tracked them for a bit, then lost contact with them as they went above it's rated altitude zone. On it's decent I regained communication and tracked it on a trajectory near Mount Baker
It was launched from Vancouver Canada. These are it's last known coordinates:

It was a 600g latex weather baloon with 75 cubic ft of of helium and a 1200g payload.
I wasn't able to located it at the final coordinate even though I trekked out to it and spent a few hours tramping around in the bush. This most likely means it continued on that trajectory for a maximum of 10 minutes and flipped upside down causing it to be unable to transmit it's final location to satellite.
If you can track down the final resting place of the 36" bright orange parachute and get it back to me all the equipment is yours to keep... plus I'll give you all the accessories and bragging rights. I'll even write a blog entry about you and your amazing wilderness mountain man tracking abilities. I just want the footage.
Maybe you know where to get recent satellite imagery and have a nack for extrapolating landing areas from data points using historic wind algorithms.
Maybe you have a large beard and lots of flannel and get a kick out of crazy wilderness adventures and fighting off bears and/or other large land mammals.
Maybe you are a very intense path or physics teacher in need of a real world bonus question for your next midterm.
Maybe you really like lots of free beer
If you find it on a recent satellite image but don't want to trek out to it and potential deal with chopping down a tree... let me know and we can sort out an exchange... or go out and fetch it and bring it all home. I'll come bring you all the accessories and put the equipment in your name so you can resend it on a another crazy adventure for yourself.
I just want the footage.
Please email me with any questions.
