Anyone have experience tuning Keihin CR Special carbs.
I've got a rack on my CB550 (avatar) and can't get them jetted correctly.
The bike's been at Cypress Motorbike for three weeks and they can't seem to improve on the tuning either.
According to Dave, the A/F goes rich between 5-7K then cleans up and runs like a champ to red.
If he tries the lean needles the mid improves but the bottom and top lean out. I thought larger mains to cure top and pilots on the bottom would fix it but Dave doesn't think so.
Other issue is trying to get an acceptable idle. 1500-2000 is about as good as it gets, and often stumbles and stalls anyway. :-(
