    Rider down in Surrey

Just saw it on the news. Left turner collided with the motorcycle going straight. Happened at 11pm last night at 96 and 123A Street. Rider was only 16.

The driver stopped initially and then ditched his vehicle and ran on foot.Motorcycle looked like a silver 07+ 600RR. The Honda accord coupe had dealer plates.

    My condolences to his family.

    As for the driver...

Rider probably shouldn't have been out past sundown according to restrictions.

Wow that sooooo sad. RIP rider.

My condolences to the family. Can't imagine what they just be going through and although it won't make any difference but hope they find the driver and get to the bottom of what happened.

That chicken shit must have been impaired or something could be a reason for ditching the cage and running away.
These kinda stories are getting more and more common these days.

Pounding booze after an accident to dodge the charges is a tactic that drunk drive lawyers have been telling the clients for years.

He was just the first person on the side of the law to employ it (or the most public one who was found out).

Not sure why the car driver would leave the scene.
I'm not sure where you are reading that... the news articles in surrey, province and Vancouver sun all indicate vehicles travelling in opposite directions, with the Honda accord turning into the way of an oncoming motorcyclist.

Hit and Run should automatically include a sentence at least equal to drinking and driving. Take away any incentive to run. If you run you get the worst possible outcome. It won't stop it but it would reduce it and will hurt when they do catch you.
