Roughly 4 years ago, my wife and I moved to Japan and put both our CBR 600's in storage. We're returning to Metro Van this August, but unfortunately, we won't be able to keep our bikes as we're moving to Ottawa.
We have a 94 F2 CBR 600 and a 89 F CBR 600. Both ran just fine before we departed. We filled both oil wells completely to protect the clutch and engine, stablized the fuel, and disconnected the batteries. They've also been garaged the whole time and kept dry.
I don't want to spend a ton on them as we're going to sell them. Would completely changing the oil, changing the gas, charging/changing the batteries (the latter likely necessary) be enough to get them going? When doing this, is it necessary to drop a bit of oil in each cylinder before firing them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yah, this is what one of them looks like if anyone is interested (except I high-sided the right side, so there's a bit of road rash there now): http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/sh...ht=#post670139
