Nice bike dude. Looks sweet.
Rode one of those at a test ride day, nice bike. Congrats
My Pazzo levers swapped straight from my FZ6 to the FZ7...same part# for both bikes.
I've got a list of mods that will be done as soon as the parts arrive:-
-Puig dark smoke screen (good for looks and keeping bugs off the instrument pod <g>)
-Tail tidy kit with LED's to change out the bulbous OEM flashers front and rear
-passenger seat cowl
I can't stay off this bike it's that much fun. Yes, I did consider the FZ09, but wanted to go in another direction to something that was a bit less frantic and easier on my battered old hide.
This bike will surprise anyone who rides it with its sophistication and (barely) hidden juvenile delinquency that is always lurking.
Yamaha has nailed it (again) with the FZ7.
Sweet ride, like!
DON'T STUFF THE CAGERS!
I'm not addicted! and I'm not quitting!!
Heeere's your sign...
...and "always" look on the bright side of life...
Power or torque difference frm your FZ6? Instantly noticeable through the power band?
The FZ7's motor is quite, quite different. Gobs of torque right from the get-go. It probably feels quicker than it really is as a result, but that's fine with me. It revs quite freely, so it's really tempting to let it fly. I'm going to do a modest breaking-in period, but I'll be letting the revs go higher progressively for at least the first 500 km's or so. The front wheel really wants to reach for the sky in 1st and 2nd, so anybody who's into wheelies will have a ball with this bike. Me, not so much. I guess the best way to describe this bike is it feels like a small dual sport as far as lightness and manouverability goes....except it's got 75hp and 50ft lbs of torque and full-sized sportbike Bridgestone Battleaxes BT023's mounted.
Very cool, lots of fun. Sounds odd with the 270 deg crank firing, but an Akrapovic exhaust system should liven it up nicely. No high-frequency vibes, just a lusty rumbling felt through my feet mainly.
There were many bikes on my list that I wanted, but this one fits the bill perfectly.
Awesome bike, but more importantly I am really happy to see that you're healthy enough to get back in the saddle again! Massive thumbs up.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
Congatulationsw on the bike. Last time I spoke with the salesman who sold me mine he said he had sold six, I'm sure it's more now, so you're not the only one who thinks they're a great bike. I have the first one delivered in North America and I'm luvin it.
As far as acceleration it has all I need:
Just back from a short ride...I let the bike go for it in 3rd gear and wow. This little 'monster' hauls ass!
Great video! This bike's no slouch.Originally Posted by feliz

Great choice for a bike. I stepped down (?) to a lighter, smaller bike last year and have no regrets. Fz07 looks like a winner. None of the fuel injection issues plaguing the FZ09 from what I understand.
