I'm a new rider, my bike has been on the road for less than a week, I know this question may belong in the newb forum but I'm going for bust here anyways. My bike (1993 ZX-6E) has relatively new Metzeler tires on it. The tires haven't been pushed very hard at all. There are some definite chicken strips on the tires; in fact about 1.5" on both sides of the rear tire hasn't hit the pavement at all. It seems to be coated with that "new tire" stuff on the very edge of the tire. My question is: When I get better and actually start pushing the bike a bit, will this stuff be super slippery, causing me to loose traction in a corner?
