My new to me 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
I would've preferred a Honda but my sources said "go Ninja" so I listened.
I've been not really feeling the 600 race bike thing for a bit now. I was really interested in winning the WMRC Sportsman class championship again this year and while after the first two rounds i'm leading it, I just couldn't fight the urge to move on to other things. I wanted more "fun" racing, something akin to how much fun i've had on my little DRZ125 around Greg Moore with the PCMRC and Pitt Meadows.
The 250 classes and Gold cup have big competitive grids these days and the fact I can use the one bike with the two clubs was a huge plus as well.
I managed to sell my 600RR in about a week and the next day I bought this and had to travel to the states where it was being stored to bring it back so it's been a bit of whirlwind.
Currently it's pretty torn apart. Looks like it's going to need immediately before I race it this weekend new tires, fork seals and gearing.. Portland gearing isn't going to work at Mission!
Eventually i'm going to add new pegs as the current ones feel too short, frame sliders, a quick turn throttle and a bunch of other little things. I'd feel better if it had case covers!
I'm looking forward to getting out and wringing this things neck this weekend at Mission at rounds 3 & 4 of our WMRC race season.
