    gsxr faring problem

    the front portion of my faring is really loose..shaking when I go over bumps.
    I havent had a look at it closley yet, I plan to tonite. How is the faring attached to the bike? what are the main mounting points?

    Mine does it over speed bumps as well. Check out Gixxer.coml. I believe someone had a cure for it.

    You have a few points where it attaches to the bike. The headlight bucket is screwed to the upper fairing and the headlight bucket is braced to the speedo bracket at two points. The first is on the bottom of the bucket. One pin on each side of the bucket plugs into the speedo bracket. The top of the bucket is attached to the speedo bracket by two screws ( just below/behind the speedometer) The other main attachment is at the mirror bracket and the others are where the upper attaches to the side fairings. As long as everything is snug and nothing is broken, everything should be all right. A few cables flop around when I hit bumps but the whole upper doesn't move at all.
