Well, another BC riding season slowly comes to an end, and another Wrong Way Down trip to NorCal calls out to top off the summer. 4 of us drove down, 2 vehicles, 2 trailers, 4 bikes....easy peazy in comfort.
Myself on my FJR, Mark on another FJR, Ian on an FZ1 and Scott on a CBF1000.
Departed New West at 4:30am to get a clear shot through Seattle on a Sat morning, avoiding all traffic and was shocked to see approx 9 cops, with people pulled over, throughout WA state all before 10:00am......hardcore, thx X50
We arrived the Gaia Resort Anderson CA @ 5:20pm.....made amazing time, felt great......absolutely pays to leave super early!
We did the obligatory warm-up bent rollercoaster ride, which is Hwy-36 to Fortuna, lunch at the Eel River Brewing Co and then a less technical, but very enjoyable rip back to the hotel on Hwy-299. Arrived Anderson about 5pm.......man I love NorCal.
As mentioned in other threads, fire has destroyed the Wildwood Store, so no gas there, bummer, was a neat place, a tradition over the years for many.
Obligatory cocktails on the patio, BS session and dinner at the hotel restaurant....keepin it simple.
