You can call me a tinfoil hat wearing nut if you like but after having my partner die from brain cancer I found myself searching for reasons as to why this happened.
One thing that always kind of stuck with me was the fact she was always on her phone be it her cell or the home cordless and I often wondered if there was any connection.
There are many inconclusive and even contradictory studies stating that rf radiation from handheld devices cause cancer.
That said many Government and Medical agency's have listed cell phone radiation as a Possible carcinogen but have stopped short of declaring it as a full blown cause of cancer.
Something I never gave too much thought to was bluetooth devices because I figured they were much lower power and had limited range.
This however would seem to not be the case,in particular with units like sena or scala rider type units they are the highest power bluetooth devices allowed and have a pretty good range.
Research has shown when the brain is exposed to rf radiation for 50 minutes it metabolizes more glucose. For anyone who knows anything about cancer in many cases this is how cancer works, the cells switch from using o2 to using sugar.
Maybe I am a bit cynical but if it was ever proven that Iphones and bluetooth units were a direct cause of brain cancer the costs and fallout of such a discovery would be massive.
I have no solid proof to support any of this, but there are many studies and theories on the internet.
I may never get a solid answer as to why my wife developed brain cancer but she did develop it about a week after doing a 14 day trip using sena headsets and it came back after another 7 day trip using the same headsets.
She was also constantly on the phone so it could have been a combination of exposure from multiple sources or it may be completely unrelated,I may never know.
Just something to think about.
I love using my sena and hate using wired headsets but am wondering how smart it is to have a class 1 bluetooth device strapped to my skull for several hours a day.
