Space travel seems to be somewhat explosive these days (first the American supply rocket, and now Virgin's mishap). According to preliminary findings, US officials say a descent safety device on the crashed Virgin Galactic spacecraft deployed early during Friday's fatal test flight.
Trust a virgin to ejaculate prematurely.
All kidding aside, it seems to me to be such a grand hypocracy ... that in this day and age of environmental concern and global global warming bleatings, that a private business interest should be attempting to set up a shuttle system for pretty much purely tourist/amusement services; for after all - what would create more carbon exhausts and greenhouse gases than a freakin rocket engine?
Am I wrong here? How many of you, if you could, would throw down a couple hundred grand to float around in low orbit for a few hours, just to "say you did" (perhaps asking sportbike riders that question, is like asking a maximum security prison's population if they would possibly break the law if they knew they could get away with it)?
