    there is no justice...

I ride $1,500 bike to work and pay for my gas

This person bought Tesla for $100K (or whatever it costs) and gets free charge.

Where is justice in this world?

Hmmmm..... To me it's kinda obvious the car price includes charging cost. But if you too want free gas then buy my bike.

It's only gonna cost you $50,000 and I'll throw in life time gas... It's a ninja 250 and you won't have to wait much for fill ups unlike the Tesla which can take up to an hr for a charge. (^_-)

I will buy your bike for $50,000 if your supply unlimited gas for life

this thread is dumb, really dumb....

what you're really gonna love is the story going around that the charging station at metro-town was paid for a private citizen, what did he get for his troubles!??

A FREE TESLA!. which he gets to drive to work and leave at the charging station all day long, it was a move to encourage gasoline free living...

i'd say the balance of justice is doing just fine OP..

i'm guessing the above example is along the same line, the car is there to push the brand and the new technology, whoever drives that probably didnt even pay for it

    I am just bored...

What if someone come to Metrotown in its Electric Focus and plug in the charging station before the guy with Tesla?

Actually I'd like to ride Zero electric bike.
My work is within it's riding range.
However new Zero is about $15K, so there is no economical sense yet.

There are different charging systems. Some can be used by any car like ones found at the airports, malls and so on, and then there are proprietary charging systems that work only for certain manufacturer. Tesla has one of those and only Tesla cars can use it.

Free for all chargers are just that. If I come in and plug in my whatever before Tesla guy comes, then tough luck. He will have to wait until I am done charging. There are signs asking people to limit their charging to 30 min only to prevent issues like these, but do people follow that I am not sure.

^^ yea man economically it won't make of a difference and even environmentally it's not gonna make a huge impact in the short run.

The production and subsequent disposal of those batteries in the EVs leave a considerable environmental footprint....... But in the long run as this tech gets more advance think we can make some substantial breakthroughs towards having environmentally friendly and financially economical cars/bikes.

That said that model S is fricking awesome.... I'd buy one if only I had a couple hundred KS lying around.

    Hahahaha, deal!

But you have to promise to only use that free gas in the 250. Can't go around filling out your F350 long bed with that gas money.

If you don't like that, buy a Zero (as you mentioned) or a Brammo Empulse or electric scooter and you can park for free in any motorcycle meter spot.

What pisses me off is that this international syndicate has conspired to build a vast network of places that make petroleum products available but when I ride my bicycle there are no free snack and drink stations.

If only some sort of Mayor could right this wrong.

So... how do those tesla owners contribute to the road system?

No tax on ev charging. Heck, those things arr tax deductible.

Seems like tax avoidance to me. where are those pay tax people? Where is the outrage?
