Surrey raoad test on WED
taking the Surrey road test on Wednesday..any Surrey related tips?I heard about the double schools zone but dont know where it is. Any help or tips on the Surrey test would sure help my cause.
I have taken my test a few years back, so I am not sure if the route is still the same or not. However, you got to be careful of the playground zone. Sometimes the sign for "30km zone" is not easy to see because of trees. Otherwise, the Surrey test should be ok......
Heh, I took this road test 2 months ago so yea it should be the same (or similar) one. Here's a list of tips just for ya!
You'll be goin thru a few school zones (2 or 3 at least) so keep your eyes open for signs.
The double-school zone is in some residential neighbourhood (not on any big roads) with 2 schools shared by a field in the middle. I don't know where it is exactly cuz i live in Richmond. However remember that when you do go past it, the LAST school ending sign is REALLY FAR down the street (you'll pass the second school, pass a bunch of houses, around a bend and not see it until you get to the next interection or stop sign or watever). So keep your school zone speed until you pass the last school ending sign.
When they tell you to park your bike on the side of the road make sure when you turn off the bike that the headlights/taillights turn off as well (I was on a Sherpa and the lights don't turn off unless you hit the light switch and I was docked for that!)
Don't block crosswalks.
When you merge onto the highway, SPEED UP to match the posted speed limit, my friend auto-failed becuz she didn't speed up quick enuf and the tester said that's a dangerous action.
I can't remember what other things there were. It's really not that bad as long as u (in Dat's own words) "work like the Detroit automobile robot" and follow all the rules you were taught.
Best thing I can say to you is: Watch your speed limit (it's better to go 55 if you can't remember whether the speed is 50 or 60) and TAKE YOUR TIME!
I actually enjoyed the road test =] Good luck!
your help my be the difference between passing and failing. Thank You .
