Fender EVH 5150III 4x12" Guitar Cabinet of Ultimate Mayhem
I am selling my Fender EVH 5150III 4x12" Guitar Cabinet of Ultimate Mayhem. With 100 watts at 16 Ohms, this cabinet strikes FEAR into mere mortal canines, and humans alike.
This is one seriously awesome cab. 5 star rating on Musician's Friend, positive reviews all over the internet. Upon release it fast became one of the go-to cabinets for studios to have in-house. A very round and full-bodied sound, it sounds amazing with the matched head, but goes great with just about anything that plugs into it. It will easily hang with and even outplay any Mesa Boogie, Orange, or any other popular fantastic cabinet.
I bought this brand new locally from Long and McQuade about 4 years ago, for $1100+tax. I was young, ambitious, had just started a new band and naturally assumed I was well on my way to ROCK STARDOM. 3 rehearsals later the band broke up, and I haven't joined another band since.
Seriously, this thing has never even seen a show.
Naturally, like any true musician, I'm apparently unable to move my gear without damaging it. Luckily, no true self-respecting musician shows up to a gig with gear that doesn't even have a single mark on it. That's kind of like the guy that shows up to Starbucks on his brand new motorbike in shiny brand new leathers without a single bug splat on them and you just know he's a total poser. Which clearly you aren't. As such, I've taken the liberty of just lightly breaking it in for you. While the cabinet is in great condition overall, in my attempt to move it in the back seat of a 2 door VW Golf, I managed to hook it onto the front seat lever and caused the littlest bit of aesthetic damage.
But luckily, it's JUST the right amount of damage that gains you the respect of the sound guy at Joe's Apartment. He'll give you that slight nod. You know the one. The one he gives only to the real musicians. The one that says "....you're alright, kid." And you'll feel like you earned it, with this cabinet.
Really needs to be heard to be appreciated. My landlord upstairs is a bitch though, so we can only turn it up to 2, besides when she goes out to do whatever the hell she does for the only 2 hours per week that she doesn't spend sitting at home waiting eagerly to berate me for whatever slight audio indiscretion she may perceive from below her.
Get in touch, let's chat. Asking $800. Will *maybe* consider trades for a quality 2x12 cabinet + cash from you, or possibly an interesting 2x12 combo amp + cash from me (if appropriate).
