Am I crazy to even be considering this? I can't stop considering the Guzzi V7 as a next bike. The styling combined with a low-maintenance shaft drive is compelling. However, 80% of my riding involves year-round commuting, so I need something reliable. Would I be stupid to buy one? With the recent news of Pacific's building being up for sale, it got me thinking about the dealer network/parts & service availability. Is there any chance of a Guzzi dealer not existing within lower mainland? The bike seems dead simple, but how is Moto Guzzi's reliability/build quality in general? Model specific forums don't seem to help as they never compare with Japanese makes. I know that the Triumph Bonnie/Scrambler would eliminate this fear, but they just don't have quite the same pull for me (and Scrambler cannot have side bags easily installed due to the pipe).
Any Guzzi owners/former owners that have commuted?
