so looking for some advice from the great minds on this site
Been riding for several years and have had many bikes (Ninja650, Honda NC750S, Versys 650, Honda 250R to name a few)
basically i want a somewhat upright bike, light in weight (be nice to be less than 400lb) Able to cruise hwy at ~130kph and not feel like it going to blow up. ABS? on one hand i can see the value of it but of the bikes i have had some had abs some did not and i have never once felt the abs activate. No long trips, mostly day trips (hope, squamish, whistler, Harrison hot springs)
so bikes on short list that fits .Kawasaki Ninja 300SE abs. Yamaha R3. Yamaha FZ07. (the <400's be nice to have cheap insurance)
Ninja300, priced out a new 2014 300SE abs and a 2015 300SE abs. The 2014 price is about same as the R3 but the 2015 buts in close to the FZ07 price. Also to consider is the stock tires (crap) so would have to change them which adds more $$
Really like the look of the Red R3. Looks to have good stock tires (Michelin Pilot Street) price is good. upright seating.
The FZ07 sure is sweet. To me it is in the almost stupid fast category. Out the door cost is more than others 2. Would also have to get a windscreen.
so bottom line. wont ride in rain. bikes are weekend good weather fun only. so abs may not come in but still nice to have. 300cc bikes cheap insurance. The fz07 may be most fun tho. buying by end of March so advice opinions please and thank you
