a couple months ago I got lots of positive feedback on the Sena SMH10, so I bought a pair. now I'm about to start riding with them and I have some concerns about waterproofness - it's still early season, and there are showers around!
Sena's literature says they are "Water resistant for use in inclement weather", and I've emailed them to get some guidance on what they mean by that. I don't go out intentionally to ride in the rain but now and again we get caught, eh?
What does experience tell us? Do people remove their units when they stop to put on raingear? Do you just ignore the rain and the unit comes thru fine? Is there a need and way to 'bag' the units when the going gets wet?
p.s. I also commute, rain or shine, and while I would not be using the 'main' unit on the commutes, I presume the 'clamp' unit has no water sensitivity whatsoever. It's got exposed contacts, for sure, but no 'powered' electrical circuitry of its own... or am I missing something?
thanks, cheers, Don
