I have a 2012 Toyota Sienna (bought new). It has about 55,000 kM's and the front rotors likely have thickness variation. It just became apparent to me as I do not usually drive it my wife does, and she's not as alert about these things as I am. It turns out the front pads are worn and will require replacement as well (not surprising) and the rear ones have about 60% to 70%.
The vehicle has been well looked after, no towing, no long steep hills and all regular service intervals done by Open Road Toyota etc. and I figure the rotors may fall under the three year / 60,000 kM warranty if it can be shown to be a manufacturer defect.
In any case here's the quotes from Open Road Toyota (these are 100% all-in prices):
$640 new rotors and pads
$397 machined rotors and pads
I have done some interwebing such as this thread http://www.siennachat.com/forum/193-...n-braking.html
We'll see how things pan out (exciting times)!
