I'm riding a lot more than I was over the past few years and need to stay connected while on the road in the US.
Someone last week recommended Roam Mobility, so I picked up one of their SIM cards and activated an account. The rate is essentially $4 a day for phone, text and a healthy amount of data. It is way cheaper than Telus's US package which I used a month ago in Vegas. Be using it tomorrow as I head off to Winthrop and beyond for a few days.
I see with the coverage map that once you get east of Sedro Woolley the cell networks move from 4G to 2G and to nothing in the hinterland. Winthrop and area has 2G coverage, past Twisp and Omak it is dead zone.
Wondering if anyone here has been using Roam Mobility and can share what to expect in terms of reception & internetz connectivity through these 2G zones.
