    RIP Michelle (GhostFlame_zx7r)

Some terrible news last night which leaves many in our community very sad today.

Michelle was on a group riding trip, near Spearfish Wyoming, when a deer jumped into her riding path.

She was rushed to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately did not survive the impact.

I think many know Michelle on either her CBR954 or orange kitted out Vstrom.

Her husband Roger and son Andrew are going through this extremely difficult time together, so if you know them, please reach out and show your support.

    You will be missed Michelle.......

    ************************************************** *********************************

    Service details:

    When - Sat June 20th @ 1pm

    - Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC

If you would like to come and show both support and respect, please feel free.

It's been suggested that another option to flowers might be some type of shared finger food/platter, but it's also catered.

Motorcycles are very welcome as Michelle would have wanted this, and there's plenty of parking.

Lastly, if you have have any pictures, please feel free to both post here and/or request an email address, as both Roger and Andrew would love to have them.

You are such a beautiful person, Michelle, and you will be dearly missed by so many. As much as I enjoyed riding with you, I cherish and will miss the deep conversations that we shared and I regret not hanging out with you more often. Rest in peace, condolences to you both, Roger and Andrew.

Here's a picture Michelle made that really encapsulated our friendship.

We had endless laughs... constant barbs back and forth about all sorts of shit. Michelle loved motorcycles, and the people in the motorcycle community. The only thing that was more important to her than enjoying motorcycle riding, was her son Andrew.

She was looking so forward to this trip, as in previous years... as well as looking forward to her month off in the summer and repeating our Washington jaunts like last year. The usual early AM starts at Starbucks. Michelle didn't mind coming early for rides... but she sure wasn't going anywhere until she had a Starbucks coffee... Toffee nut latte with some drizzle, or Mint Java Chip Frap no whip with caramel drizzle.

So incredibly tragic. My sincerest condolences to Roger and Andrew as well as her many other friends and acquaintances. My thoughts are also with the folks from our community that were on the trip with her. Hilton, Nick, Brea, Mohammed, Ray and others. I have no idea what to say.

Thanks for the many great memories. The inside jokes will no longer have meaning... the regular rest spots on the route will never again be the same. You made my motorcycling more enjoyable, and that I will not forget.

Ride on my friend. I miss you.

Rudder 1 to Rudder 2. Over and out.
