    Big Banff Loop

This weekend was perfect for a big ride. My GF and I ended up turning this quick ride to Banff into a loop by scooting up to Jasper on the way home.

We left after work on Friday and stayed the night in Kamloops. From there we rode thru Vernon to Nakusp to Revelstoke to Banff where we stayed Saturday night. Sunday we headed north to Jasper and then back to Kamloops for the night. Monday we rode thru Lillooet to Whistler and home by 5pm. So 72 hours and 2300km later we're home looking through the pictures, happy that we decided to go. The trip was well worth it.

    Here are some pics.

    Looks like fun!

When you rode to Vernon to Nakusp...do you have to go through Kelowna or is there a turn off somewhere just after Vernon? How was the road from Vernon to Nakusp to Revelstoke..lots of twisties? About how long would that trip take (Vernon to Revelstoke)

    Thanks.

you don't have to go through Kelowna. Look at the map I posted. You take Hwy6 out of Vernon.

Not too many tight twisties actually. Just a nice cruise. There was one really twisty part that was a hoot between Needles and Nakusp. I hear that going from Nakusp to Nelson to Kaslo to Creston is where the real fun is.

I think Vernon to Revelstoke took us about 5 hours but with a lunch stop and waiting for the ferries.
