Thread: Leathers

  1. #1

I have a brand new Joe Rocket Highside leather suit. It is a bit snug and I need to where it more to stretch it out. But the problem is when I where them, I sweat allot and very uncomfortable (especially on hot summer days). So instead of wearing the suit, I wear my textile jacket, jeans and SIDI boots.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can use my leathers more without felling uncomfortable when riding? One of my buddies suggested full-length spandex.

    What do you guys think?

You are going to be hot wearing a full leather suit on a hot day, no matter what. I would suggest you get up early and go for morning rides to work it in a little when it is still cool. Or night rides for the same reason.

Then, make sure you keep moving (don't wear them in traffic) and open the zipper a few inches to bring air in. Some people suggest stuffing wet rags in your chest area, as that will draw heat from your body. Flexible, reusable ice packs would work well, too.
