Well I just did a quick search for tips on how to clean a bike and I'm not sure if any of the tips I found actually apply to what I am about to attempt.
Basically I need some tips on how to clean my EXTREMELY filthy bike. I mean this thing has probably not been cleaned by any of the previous owners... EVER. The swingarm is completely black and there's little pieces of sand stuck on it. The bottom of the bike is covered in oil/tar... I'm not sure what it is but it's a nice thick blanket of it... Whatever it is. There's probably a dead cat stuck somewhere on the bike too.
I've read some good things about a product called S100 or S2000? Not sure... But I don't know if that stuff is good enough for the job I'm about to attempt.
I actually just got back from cleaning the bike. I had a large bristle brush and used a soap/paint thinner/water mixture and after cleaning about 6 inches of the swingarm the bristle brush was completely black and it seems like the thing is ruined. I tried risning the brush off but no luck.
So now here I am stuck with a bike that's still just as dirty. Ideas anybody?
