Hey all. I'm back on two wheels with my new DRZ400e. I recently got pulled over and given an order to complete an inspection. It was well deserved, as my bike was barely roadworthy at the time. It needed front signals, and badly needed new tires, which of course I was planning to get, but needed to ride out and get some milk and eggs. You know how it is.
Unfortunately, this means I have to get all the usual crap up to standard that they'll check on the inspection, but that most people get away with normally, like adding reflectors and spacing my rear signals further apart (they're not integrated, but apparently they need to be further apart). The officer also said "I think you need a chain guard, too. But I'm not sure."
Does anyone know the rules about this? The 400e doesn't have one standard, and there's no place to put it. I think I may have read something a long time ago that they check that it's not cracked or damaged, if it's standard equipment.
Any help would be appreciated.
