Last week at lacrosse practice I pulled my groin a little. I iced it and rested for a week, I still worked out but I did not do any running I just used elliptical trainers or walked on the treadmill. It felt fine last night when I started practice, then it suddenly felt the same as did when it first happened. It has never taken me longer than a week to recover from a mild pull, my last one was a hamstring in March and I was OK after 4 days.
My trainer said that riding a motorcycle keeps the groin in a stretched position, so it is never relaxed when on a bike. I noticed that on my ride home my groin hurt a lot more, and got a lot worse if I squeezed the tank a little like I normally do while riding.
This sounds reasonable, and was wondering what everyone else thought. As tough as it is, I have decided to park the bike for a week and see if that does anything--a hard thing to do seeing as how I just got some more goodies for the bike! I have a Corbin seat that is begging to be broken in..
