Long story short, I was in a parking lot at Surrey Central, in the covered parking infront of the T&T market specifically. Then an asian man with some passangers backs into my stationary vehicle. I called Dial-A-Claim and started a claim with ICBC for the damage. ICBC just got back to me yesterday and said that the other party claims that I backed into their vehicle. (Why would anybody choose to commit fraud over a accident that was 100% their fault I don't know..) But then they go on to say that they are splitting it 50/50 fault and that I can get my vehicle fixed, my clean insurance record ruined for the price of $150 and that it may be worth it as the other party is not claiming insurance. (Obvious fraudster once again).
I would simply feel jibbed to give in and pay $150 knowing that I'm aiding somebody else's fraudulent activities. What do you guys think? The vehicle is nearly new, and it's a lease vehicle so I think I might end up having to pay for damage out of my security deposit if I don't get this fixed via ICBC.
