I have my bike secured to a metal rail in front of my wife's car. I park on her left/right, depends if she backs in. I use a bike secure metal wire. At night, our locked underground, there is my wife's car and my car on both sides. plus another car next to my wife. It is also covered by a Dowco bike cover. It has been safe there for many years even when our cars were vandeled a couple of moths ago. By a punk ass, alcoholic pot head.
Ok, the question is how do you secure your ride? General speaking it's difficult to see, well lit, not easy to get at. I have explored heavier chains, OMG very expensive. I don't want an alarm. Wheel locks? I implant into the concrete? I have had a bike in the underground for 16 years. I`m always pissed when a bike is stolen. Thieves should be hung, simple and straight forward. No sympathy for drunks or duggies.
