The perfect adventure bike. If you ever get lost, you just follow the oil trail home.
More like you will never get lost...cant make 100 miles without breaking down....
How do you know when spring is here? HD's broken down on the side of the road everywhere...
Remembering Bill Mclean.
Having had a colonoscopy......I have now seen where the sun don't shine......(Me)
I bet the brilliant minds at HD recently read how Porsche polled their 911 and Boxter Customers and learned that 50% of them also had an SUV, hence the development of the Cayenne.
DON'T STUFF THE CAGERS!
It must be Spring now, Juha showed up lol
DON'T STUFF THE CAGERS!
That's one ugly bike. Even for an adventure bike, which are necessarily ugly for the most part.
Reformatted to fit your screen.
i hear it's going to include the HD/Pirate edition tent as well.
HD got its ass kicked by Indian last year and they have got to be getting worried as Indian is ramp ping up its dealerships.that extra 30 hp at a significantly lower cost is converting a lot of the road pirates.I could see a adventure bike attempt by HD but I,m betting its going to be a major flop can not see it working out if HD designs the bikes. maybe if they farm it out to Triumph or one of the Japanese companies?
On closer inspection of this prototype, it's clear it's simply a re-skinned 750 econo-cruiser they are making in India now. This machine, on this platform would have to place itself in the DR650/XR650L price point, so pitiful it's performance would be.
I don't think this bike has much chance of being made for sale. Anything HD makes outside of their 'comfort box' would be an utter failure. Their marketing genius works wonders for the "USA/Gun Tote/Mullet/NASCAR/Bud Lite" crowd, but is and would be hopeless with anyone else with more than a couple dozen active brain cells. Honestly, they'd be better off trying to sell that electric bike that made the rounds last year. This ADV bike thing is so late to the show, it will be laughed at.
The interesting thing is if HD made a half ways decent adventure bike owners would have the advantage of lots of places to get the bike serviced/fixed
HD dealers have a reputation for being willing to helping out their customers who are on tour.
This has real value, but then HD did think the Buell Ulysses was an adventure bike.
BCSB had mountains of experience with a lot of things. #1 on that list is pouring out bullshit to dumb questions by the Gigabyte. (TripleTime, 12-10-2014 03:19 PM)
