I have warped two sets of EBC Rotos like the picture below and I would love some help with the diagnosis before I buy another set of rotors.
The first set warped last summer I was on a road trip across BC. I was riding along in summerland and went into a rain storm tapped the brake for a corner and all of a sudden warped rotors. I managed to tough it out till o made it to Fernie where I cleaned and lubed the bobbins. That helped a bit but there were still pulsing.
When I got back to Comox after the trip I checked the runout and sure enough both rotors were warped.
I wrote EBC and told them the story and through a lot of emails and phone calls they sent me another set.
I finally got the replacement rotors just before another road trip. I cleaned the calipers and made sure the pistons were all moving and there was no excessive drag, got 4-5 turns out of the front tire when spun by hand installed the rotors and went out on a test ride, all good.
I headed out on my road trip the next day. I was ripping along the sunshine coast, came around the corner and into a rain storm and once again my rotors stared pulsing.
I do not ride with my fingers o the brakes so I am pretty sure I don't drag my brakes.
Any thoughts and opinions would be great.
Oh and I ride a 03 GSXR 1000
