Heading to Kelowna from Vancouver Round Trip. From experience, where have you guys seen the speed traps. Anywhere there is a speed change down I'm usually cautious, but how about just typically on the hwy. Any info would be great. Heading out tomorrow.
Instead of starting another thread, for Vancouver to Squamish speed traps based on my experiences:
1. Lions Bay Area, just entering where the overpasses are
2. West Vancouver going westbound, right before the truck pull off area, cops typically hiding there ready to chase you after you pass them or laser you (well before Ferry Terminal exit)
*surprisingly (knock on wood), there hasn't been much speed traps during this hwy stretch compared to years before when they first did the new speeding laws. I heard about helicopters tracking and ticketing speed in the summer mths, but I'm not sure if this is just some old wives tale or not. That's a pretty expensive exercise to bring a helicopter out during the afternoon to track speeders.
