Just read that adjustable speed limit signs have been installed on he S2S (and coq, and one other). Apparently they'll automatically adjust themselves depending on the weather. I wonder what the factors are that weigh into that adjustment?
I also wonder how the police keep track of what the signs say, and when? For instance, if, on a section where the speed limit is normally 80, someone gets pegged at 115....normally you'd be good in terms of whether or not you get impounded. But if the e-signs had been lowered to 70 since the last time you passed one, you're now into impound territory. Or vice versa.....if the signs had gone back up since the last time an officer passed one, but you passed one more recently than him and saw the new limit and adjusted speed accordingly?
Just thinking out loud here, and maybe these are issues that have answers, but it seems like there may be some weak spots in the system in terms of enforcement headaches, and the road-users will be the ones to pay the price.
