I've noticed that there's a few of you on here that seem to hold a strong relation to "Ferris....day off".
I watched if for the first time today and learnt many things....things about the pshyce, things about general life...many things.... I also happened to notice a fault in the film works.
For those of you who've seen it, take your mind back to when they've got the ferrari goin in reverse when they return it to the garage.
The engine is running...if i had to put a number to how many rpms..i'd say 2500 -3000.
If you watch carefully when Cameron asks Ferris to look at the clock to see its lack of progress....you'll notice that the tachometre is stationary....that's right folks..on zero...the cars not even running!
Now to fortify my finding.... take yourself further back in the movie where the two schmuck valets take the car on a joy ride....at one point where the "Emperor's Waltz" begins play and you see the car take leave of the ground , you are given a cock pit shot of both the tach and the speedo.....tach registering 6500 rpms, and the speedo at 100.......all this proving that the tach should move on the set just as in real life.
Think about it!
THis has been yet another informative thread , from your watch dog RWR. always on the job, always lookin out for your interests
