I was just hoping for a few friendly criticisms or some experienced praise on the value of a 1992 Yamaha Seca II, particularly as a first bike.
I've found one for about $3000.00 with 32000 km and is apparently in very good condition.
Let's say that we can assume that this bike is actually in good condition for the sake of this discussion.
What are the things that I should look out for? What can I expect from a bike like this? Is this a reasonable price? (I tried to answer that question based on searching out classifieds for them but they don't seem to be a commonly for sale bike...a good sign, I think.) What are the drawbacks? What are the cons?
Some of the feedback that I've had so far on this bike is that it's very uninspiring. It handles well, but not too well, it breaks well, but not too well, the acceleration is not over the top, the control is decent, and overall, all of these things add up to it being the perfect beginner bike.
Does anyone have anything to add or comment?
Any thoughts deeper than "Even yo momma wouldn't ride that" will be heard.
