    Buying gear/bike this winter

I have 3Grand to spend coming this winter
What will I be able to get?
500 of that will be gear, so about 2500 on a bike.

    90Gsxr?
    CBR?

I have never been into pricing rather then this last summer, so I dont have much experience with price drops during the off season.

Being on a low budget, I would shop around for a package deal that includes gear that fits along with a decent bike. You'll probably be looking for something early 90's. I like the gsxr but am very biased here, F2's are nice as well. There's some really good bargains during the winter but not so many bikes to choose from. Some people get despirate to sell after the bike has been listed for quite a while with no bites. Be patient and look at lots of bikes before you decide which one you are going to buy. Don't buy any projects or something that needs some TLC, those are just other words for POS. Happy hunting.

Used gear can be found here. 'cause $500 is the bare minimum for the proper gear. New equipment like helmets for $175 and up, jackets for $200+ and gloves for $59 plus taxes would round out you $500, and you'd be getting really sh*tty stuff. Check the Buy & Sell for the deals on the good stuff were someone has already paid the depreciation on it.
