I thought I would through this up here for those of you that have a hot running bike.
Please be advised that I am not a mechanic so you may want to check with a mechanic before making any changes.
Anyways, I sold my modified Civic last year that had headers, cam intake and some other stuff on it but it always ran HOT until I did the following:
Replace the coolant with water. Water will disipate the heat quicker than antifreeze. In addition, I used a product from Redline Oil called "Water Wetter"
I used to always have the temp past the 2/3 mark on regular clean coolant, even after I had the rad flushed. Thew Water Wetter combo dropped it back to the normal 1/3 mark.
I believe this stuff is legal for the track as well but you may want to check before you head out.
Anyways, any racers or those who ride hot running bikes might want to give this a try, since roasted nuts are only fun at winter time!
