So yeah, I got home quite late last night from Langley Memorial Hospital. I was leaving Whiterock yesterday just past the old Peugeot dealership heading back to Hwy99 when I saw a red light. I stopped. Put the feet down and kept it in first since there were no cars behind me stopped to protect my ass. Next thing I hear is the screeching of tires. I look in the mirror to see a Camry bearing down on me - tires smoking. I BARELY have time to get the clutch out when she hits me. I was able to move only a few inches. Inches that saved my life. All I remember is seeing a hub cap rolling off in the distance and the car pulling over about 20 metres away. I was vaguely aware of my right arm feeling like it was torn off as my elbow/shoulder took off her mirror. I was flung sideways and lost balance on the bike. Next thing I know I'm watching the bike stall from the tip over sensor and that is about it. Next thing I see is a couple very concerned faces doing their best to comfort me. Well I end up at Langley Memorial since so many hospitals are full. My shoulder is fucked, my back is fucked and me left knee is even more fucked. Sore all over. The police came while I was getting my 14 freakin' x-Rays and said they charged the lady and that there is about $2000 damage to each vehicle. I'm quite sure they don't know how much sportbike parts are. The bike is fine(?). Only cosmetic stuff. I'm ok. Just sore and pissed now that Spokane is not in the cards. I'll probably just go and take pictures all weekend. Sigh.
