Friday August 29, 2003 - Krispy Kreme Donuts in WA

Trying to organize another run down to KK in Burlington. For all who told me they would be available, here are the details:

    When: Friday August 29, 2003 11:00 a.m.
    Where to: Krispy Kreme
Why: Just 'cause I've never tried them & I wanna!
Meeting point: Meet at the Hwy #1 weigh scales (just past 160th Street, Surrey)
    Pace: easy, relaxed

While I realize that this time may be a bit early for some, if we want to get down and back before the traffic gets too crazy, we'll have to leave around this time. Remember to bring a passport OR your driver's licence and birth certificate.

    Post up if you're available!!

    Cheers!

Is it just you two so far?

How long does it take to get there and back?

I gotta work at 5Pm on Friday but if we can be back in Canada by 4:30Pm, I'd love to go. I have never had Krispy Kreme either.

It should take us about an hour (and a bit) to get down there, and the same back (at the very most) and then some time to eat as many doughnuts as we can!! You should be back by about 4:00 p.m.

Damz, me wants to go but got other commitments. Hope the traffic isn't too crazy with the long weekend. Oh well, next time, Nancy.

A couple of hints: Make sure you get a complimentary one when waiting in line; else when you're paying at the cashier ask her for one. I did. Secondly, if ordering a dozen, get it in 2 6-pack boxes so it will fit in your tank bag. And believe me, you'll want at least a dozen. Also, just go for the glazed one. They're the best.

And if you get a chance, gotta do Chuckanut Drive.

I'm going. I hope those boxes fit inside my tail bag.

I am willing to stuff my tailbag full of KK. I think I'll need a dozen or so... if there is any room left, I'll help you bring some back. Otherwise, I'll try to remember my bungie net. Just hope the boxes don't get crushed by the bungie.

Patrick: Do you want to meet at the Chevron on Boundary and 12th? I gotta head down that way anyways.

    See ya at 10:30 Patrick.

Oh, I'm looking at possibly 2 dozen... or 1.5 dozen. Really depends. I just hope I can fit it in my tailbag... Must check out KK's website and see if the box will fit at all...

that box ain't gonna fit in no tail bag. it's the size of a large pizza box for a dozen. you canget them to put them in bags for you, but the icing will rub off on each other. i better get some when you come back.
