Changing front Sprocket....
I am changing the front sprocket on my bike, 2001 ZX6R, and am following hte service manual, it say to flatten out the bent area of the washer and pull the bolt out....
#1 how the heck do I flatten the bent area ? I can't even squeeze a thin flat head screw driver in the to get leverage...
#2 bolt ? what bolt...lol
Rock bottom here I come
You will need to pry out the edge of the washer. You might have some luck in starting with a paint scraper or something else very thin and then progress up to a screw driver.
this is my...boomstick!
It's mucho easier to pull that sprocket bolt on there if you have an impact gun. It's often wrenched on there to about 100 foot pounds, with years of road gunge/rust and, it won't want to stay still, even in gear/standing on the rear brake.
