Went down to do the Chuckanut Drive in the states today.
Found this route on BCrider99's webpage.
Thanks BCrider99 for showing your ride routes.Chuckanut Map
One of the best rides I've ever done.
All the way down exchanged some friendly waves with other riders who were even riding cruisers. I notice that the Harley guys up here don't give a wave to each other but down in the States, anything on 2 wheels gets a wave.
On the way back, did the Mount Baker Hwy. Up at the top, met this American riding an older Harley softtail custom (I think). He had the leather jacket with the 'ol Red, White, and Blue patched on the back. We decided to head down together as we both needed gas and he knew where the closest gas station is.
We get to the Shell and this complete stranger buys me a tank of gas. A Harley guy buying a Rice Rocket gas?
This experience has given me a new outlook on American Harley riders...as i always thought they were a bunch of rednecks with ZZ Top 'staches.
Any Americans reading this, I hope you get the same kind of hospitality when you come to Canada.
