Rain = Good
Wet pavement = Bad
A guy on an 80s Seca 750 lowsided up in Juniper today. I was driving past in the opposite lane. The bike just slipped out from under him on the wet pavement, and he slid on his butt for 10-15 feet. His bike bounced along a bit, looked like minor rash on the bars that protect the engine and it smashed up his signals. Tons of sparks when it went down. Good thing he was only going 50 or so.
I pulled a quick U-turn. He was picking up the bike when I got to him, and he said he was ok. I didn't notice any damage to the bike, but I was too busy being freaked out that 2 days ago I bought nearly the exact same bike that I just watched bounce down the road.
Mental note: In the rain, ride like grandma.
