What exactly is the benefit of titanium, or carbon fiber, over aluminum, other than the weight factor?
If you take out the weight factor, is it purely personal preference (looks)? Or are their other factors involved, such as maintenance (keeping it clean) and the like?
I am comtemplating getting either a ti, or al hindle high mount slip on. Al is $100 bucks or so less, but I like the look of the shiny aluminum better. Just trying to weigh out the pros and cons. So far, I just have looks of al better than ti, personally.
