There's someone driving a silver Jeep Cherokee who hates me.
Last weekend, my wife and I were riding around the North West corner of Washington. After turning on to route 112, I found myself stuck behind a silver Jeep Cherokee. He was moving along pretty fast, but I felt I could go about 10% faster, so I patiently waited for a good passing opportunity.
I eventually passed him, and enjoyed one of the best roads I'd been on all year. It was fresh new black top, and was so twisty, it must have been deliberately designed by an avid sport bike rider.
After about fifteen minutes of carving through all these corners, I noticed the jeep was still not too far behind me, (OK I'm not that fast a rider). Suddenly, a car coming towards me stated flashing its headlights at me. I immediately thought "cop up ahead, I'd better slow down".
Since the twisties were now gone, and the road started to straighten out, I decided it would be a good time to slow right down and wait for my wife to cach up. I moved over to the right, and waved the Jeep Cherokee to pass me.
No sooner does the guy blow past me, a state trooper walks out into the road and points at the guy to pull over. As I slowly rode past the guy in the jeep, I looked over my shoulder to see my wife coming around the corner.
After we stopped, my wife said "How come that Jeep was pulled over and you weren't, you were ahead of that Jeep the last time I saw you." I said I waved him by, and the cop nailed him.
I bet he thinks I did it deliberately. Oh well, I hope he just got a warning.
