So 4 of us where havin i jolly old time rippen up to Gold River on thursday. Just before i get to the apex of a corner heading left, out she goes. The bike bounced off the cement gard rails, and i followed, and then slid to a stop in the middle on the road. I layed ther fer a few seconds doing the check over, 'yep i can feel my toes'. Could feel my left sholder was totaly dislocated, and felt a bit if sting of road rash on my leg, guess im not walking away from this one. Sooo, got my first ride in an ambulance. All in all it was about 5 hours and a few shots of morfene later before they put my sholder back in. A word of advice, you would think that the ambulance would come and everything is all good, no exactly. Everything takes so bloody long, and every single person askes you the same 20 questions. Not that thats all bad, you just gotta be paitient. Oh, and laughing gas is over rated. Good thing i had protective gear on, well, exept for my pants, it all did its job! Hitting a wall at like 70, 80, and not a broken bone, or get this not a scrach on my helmet even! Go figer, good thing i say my prayers. The vfr, well hard to tell, from what i hear the rear rim is smashed good and the rear suspention is kinda broken, along with all the other expected, scrapes.
Bottom line, they shouldn't let people ride with out full armor, and i will be enjoying the next "fer a long time" getting my sholder working right again.
A thanks to Tom, and thoes who help out.
